Update on Katelyn

Reagan talked with Katelyn's dad, LV, late this afternoon. Here's an update for those who are praying for her.

She has a tumor.  The tumor is causing fluid not to circulate as it should. The doctors referred to this as a hydo-cell. The area where that is occurring is behind her right ear. That is what's causing her equilibrium to be off. The doctor plans to operate on Thursday to remove the tumor. Once that is removed, they are going to put in a temporary shunt. They hope this will, in effect, alleviate the blockage of fluid and clear up her issues with falling, dizziness, headaches and so forth.

Thank you so much for all who are praying for Katelyn and her family. Please continue to remember them, especially her parents. Her mom is staying at the hospital with her around the clock. She can't even go outside the room unless Katelyn is asleep, because Katelyn cries for her. Which is understandable, to say the least. I'm sure that Donna and LV are nervous and scared and a million different other things. I've passed on to them the messages from all of you who've emailed me and commented and messaged me on Facebook. It means a great deal to them. Please continue to pray.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friends daughter, they must be going through so much right now. As a parent I can only imagine the fear they feel at the prospect of this surgery. I will be praying for Katelyn and her parents.
