Easter at Aunt Sue-Sue's

Easter Sunday morning we enjoyed a wonderful church service with Reagan's family. His parents even drove up and attended worship with us. It was very special to have them there.

After church, we went to Susan and David's for lunch. When we got there, I went ahead and changed Sara Madalin into play clothes and took her outside. She was already tired, but wanted nothing more than to run. Notice her right foot in the picture below. She was already in motion.

Here she is with her Papaw. When she first saw him outside the nursery after church, she was so happy. She walked over to him grinned and put her arms up. I'm sure he loved it.

She stopped for about 2 minutes to swing with her Daddy.

Then she was on to Uncle David, or Dae as she calls him. She'll call, "Dae! Dae! Boo!" because that's how they play. He will hide behind a corner or chair and jump out and say, "Boo!" She loves it. She helped him with the grilling for a few minutes.

She just couldn't hold out for the burgers to get done. So she had some chips and a peanut butter sandwich. Then I took her to the back bedroom and laid down with her to get her down for a nap. Funny thing, we both fell asleep. Guess I was pretty tired too.

Once we woke up, she got her Easter basket from Sue-Sue. Here she is with Mitch and one of her toys from her basket.

Sue-Sue and Papaw hid the eggs and this year Sara Madalin actually hunted them on her own. She had just a little help, but not really a whole lot.

Of course, it was more about the candy in the egg than finding the egg itself.

At some point, she took her shoes off. I guess they were impeding her hunting progress.

Susan had heated the pool so that Sara Madalin could swim. Mamaw and Papaw took a picture with her before they left and right before she got into the pool.

SM, Mitch, and Reagan got in the pool. They said it was somewhere around 80 degrees in there, so I guess they were comfortable. Here she is showing the boys how to blow bubbles in the water.

I think she was trying to swim from Reagan to Mitch here.

See her bottom? Reagan had packed a pull-up instead of a swimmer diaper. They look very similar. But a swimmer is designed to be worn in water. A pull-up is like a diaper. So, as soon as she got in the water, it filled with water and swelled. She looked like she had a little "junk in her trunk." Mitch said she looked like a bumble bee with her rear so swollen.

As you can see, it didn't slow her legs down at all.

She had come up to the porch to see me. But she was on the run again in no time flat. I'm pretty sure there are going to be many days of swimming at Sue-Sue's in our future.

Aww, it sounds like she had a wonderful Easter. I love the junk in the trunk, too funny!

I noticed you have a ticker for a trip to Disney. Are you staying on property? I love going to Disney as I am a huge Disney fan. Our next trip isn't until August :-(
