An Afternoon in Daytona Beach

It was POURING rain today in the Orlando/Deland area, so we chose not to go to Disney. Instead we went to a local mall that has an indoor play area and we let Sara Madalin run around for a while. Then, the weather cleared up some. So, we decided to drive over to Daytona and see how things were on the beach. As we drove into Dayton we passed this race track on the right. I'm not a race fan, but it appears to be a pretty big deal.

Reagan said that he could get spoiled with a drive-on beach. We drove onto the beach, parked our car, and let Sara Madalin run.

Yes, that's my child in that last picture - trying to blow "bubblesh" in the tide pools. Obviously she felt her bubbles weren't sufficient when blown that way. So, she got down on all fours in hopes of accomplishing her task more effectively.

She loved the beach. She chased birds. She played in the sand. She ran to the waves (along with her Daddy). And she, of course, blew lots and lots of bubbles. We will have to plan another beach trip for her sometime soon.

Awww! What a good mommy to let her get all wet and sandy in her cute outfit. Sounds like y'all are having a great time!
