The Park with Nori Grace

Last Friday morning we met Sara Madalin's friend, Nori Grace, and her mom, Meagan, for a play date. We were going to go to a local facility called "Pump it Up." But, I'm just not on my game these days. I didn't call ahead to make sure that we could do a "pop in" playdate on that day. Turns out, you can't. So, we decided to take the girls to a local park so they could burn off some energy for a little while. Here they are right after we got to the park.

For about 10 minutes, they were the only kids on the playground. Here's a wide shot of the park. You can see how empty the place was.

They were "going to town" on those horsies.

Of course, my girl had to slide a few dozen times.

They also played in the sand pretty well together.

About 10 minutes after we got there, 5 bus loads of elementary students showed up. We let the girls play for a few more minutes, but some of the bigger kids were running around (as kids that age should be allowed to do) and I was afraid that one of our little girls might be hurt. Plus, it was hot and SM was quickly approaching melt-down stage. We said good-bye to Nori Grace and her mommy with hopes of getting together again soon for the girls to play. Hopefully in a cooler, and more confined space.
