How's this for a Holiday Greeting? That's Sara Madalin kissing the (bald) head of one of our close friends, Jimmy, at the company Christmas party Tuesday night.
His wife, Renee (or Nee-Nee, if you are SM), was holding her and she just leaned over and kissed him on the top of the head. Then she rubbed on it some. It was kind of funny.
As I said, we went to the Christmas party for the company(ies) where Reagan works. The drug store employees, along with the gravel pit employees, the Radio Shack employees, the DME company employees, and any other company that operates out of the store, all met for their annual Christmas dinner Tuesday night. Before we left I tried to get a picture of SM in her outfit I had made her for the party.
That would have been a darling picture had it not been for (A) the fact that her Momma still hasn't put a skirt under that Christmas tree, and (B) she had stood still so you could actually see the Santa appliquéd on the front of her dress. Nonetheless, she's pretty cute.
Here she is with Amy.
We haven't seen Amy in a few months and when SM ran up to her, the first question she asked was, "Where's you baby?" She was talking about Baby Will. It caught SM a little off-guard when Amy said there was a baby in her belly. SM just looked at her stomach trying to figure that one out. Thanks, Amy, for all the questions I'm going to get in the near future from that conversation.
Here's Reagan and Scooter.
Scooter was able to stand and give testimony of all God has done in his life these past few months. From having surgery for Krohn's disease, to having a tumor discovered in his colon, which resulted in being diagnosed with Stage4 cancer. Then, being told just last week after his PET scan that there was no sign of cancer anywhere else in his body. It was great to hear him share how God had touched his and his family's life through this.
Here's SM with another of Scooter and B. B.'s daughters, Anna. We love Anna.
Scooter and B. B. with all three of their daughters - Shannon, Anna, and Amy.
And because she's B. B., and can get away with it, SM was given a whistle right before dinner. Talk about a happy little girl when she saw it, that would be SM.
She blew that thing during dinner. Then all the way home. And most of the time she's been home today. I'm SO happy B.B. gave her that whistle.
We had a great time of fellowship and enjoyed the food so much. On the way home from school today, I asked Sara Madalin what her favorite part of last night was, thinking she'd say the whistle. She said, "The mashed potatoes."
So, there you go. A great dinner and a whistle. Who can ask for more?
