Sara Madalin has a long day on Fridays. She stays for Lunch Bunch, and then she has gymnastics until about 2:45 or so. I try to put her hair back so that it's not in her way while she's doing cartwheels and round-offs, and whatever else she does during the day. This past Friday, I had pulled her hair back in a ponytail as I normally do. But, when I picked her up from school and saw her walking down the hall to meet me, I quickly realized very little of that hair had ended the day still in the ponytail. She looked like a wild woman coming toward me. I had to take her picture once she was in the car.
It may not be pretty, but that's the hair of a girl that knows how to make the most of a day.
